Racon

Racon can be used to correct raw contigs generated by rapid assembly methods which do not include a consensus step. The bundle packages version 1.5.0.

Usage example

The following command can be executed in the terminal to load the bundle:

module load racon

The module makes the racon and racon_wrapper commands available. The racon_shell command can be used to access a shell in the bundle.

Run pet list -t racon for a list of examples.

Performance notes

Racon should be run on a system with at least 16 GB of RAM and 16 threads. According to the paper, 12 threads were used and most analysis used 16 GB or less memory.
