GNU Octave¶
GNU Octave has a powerful mathematics-oriented syntax with built-in 2D/3D plotting and visualization tools It provides a convenient command line interface for solving linear and nonlinear problems numerically, and for performing other numerical experiments using a language that is mostly compatible with Matlab. The octave bundle packages version 8.3.0.
Usage example¶
The following command can be executed in the terminal to load the bundle:
GNU Octave can be run as shown below:
The octave_shell command can be used to access a shell in the octave bundle.
