BLAST

BLAST, Basic Local Alignment Search Tool, can be used for sequence similarity searching. The blast bundle packages NCBI Blast version 2.14.0.

UFS HPC Usage Example

The following command can be executed in the terminal to load the bundle:

module load blast
The blast cli utilities can then be run as shown as below:

blastn
blastp
blastx
makeblastdb
psiblast
rpsblast
rpstblastn
tblastn
tblastx
The blast_shell commmand can be used to access a shell in the blast bundle.
